1. One-Click Site Backup to Google Drive
Last month, we introduced Google Drive as a backup provider, and now, we’ve made the experience even smoother. You can back up your WordPress site with a single click and restore it effortlessly when needed.
How to Set Up Google Drive for Backups?
- Go to FlyWP Dashboard → Team → Backup Providers
- Click Add New Provider → Select Google Drive
- Follow the guided steps in our documentation to configure it.
Now, you can secure your site’s data with an off-site backup solution, ensuring protection against unexpected failures.
2. Improved Live Chat Support – Faster & Smarter
We’ve enhanced our Live Chat support to provide real-time assistance directly from your FlyWP dashboard. Whether you need help setting up backups, managing servers, or troubleshooting an issue, our support team is just a message away. You can access Live Chat from:
- FlyWP Dashboard
- FlyWP Website
3. FlyWP Now Supports Ubuntu 24.04
Keeping up with the latest tech, FlyWP now supports Ubuntu 24.04 for all new server deployments. This means:
- Better performance and stability
- Improved security updated
- Optimized for the latest server management tools
If you’re launching a new WordPress site on Ubuntu 24.04, FlyWP ensures a seamless experience!
4. Hetzner Singapore Region Now Available
Great news for our users in Asia! We’ve added Singapore as a new server region for Hetzner, offering:
- Lower latency for sites serving Asian audiences
- Faster loading times for visitors from Asia
- Improved regional hosting performance
Now, you can deploy Hetzner servers in Singapore for a more optimized experience.
Improvements & Fixes Made in February 2025
We fixed a good number of issues and enhanced some modules this month.
- Better API Validation for Vultr – Reduced errors when connecting to Vultr servers.
- Improved Error Handling for WordPress Updates – Concise error logs for easier debugging.
- Redis ACL Fix for Site Creation – No more site creation issues due to Redis access controls.
- Automatic Cleanup of Old Docker Logs – Keeps logs lightweight and relevant.
- Redis Credential Fix for Cloning Sites – Site cloning now works without credential mismatches.
- Handling Missing Redis Credentials for Older Sites – Seamless support for older sites without Redis access modules.
- Migration Fix for OpenLiteSpeed .well-known Config – Improved handling for OLS stack-based sites.
- Domain Check Before Site Transfers – Prevents accidental transfers to incorrect servers.
- ACME Challenge Fix for OpenLiteSpeed vHost Config – No more SSL validation failures on OLS sites.
