FlyWP: Journey to an Advanced Server Control Panel for WordPress

We built FlyWP to manage multi-cloud servers seamlessly from one single dashboard. Our goal is to power users with performance, scalability, and simplicity like never before. FlyWP offers powerful features like the Nginx and OpenLiteSpeed stack, an Intelligent backup-restore module, GitHub deployment, Redis caching, and more. From individuals to agencies, FlyWP helps everyone manage servers and WordPress sites easily. 

How FlyWP Started in 2023

In 2023, we built FlyWP with a desire to make WordPress hosting more accessible and feature-rich. Our mission was clear: to provide developers and agencies with a platform that simplifies server management. 

Within the first year, we gained significant traction by focusing on user feedback and rolling out exciting features that filled gaps in traditional server management solutions.

We laid the foundation of FlyWP in 2023, and we’ve been growing up in 2024 with WordPress enthusiasts like you. 

FlyWP Secured #5 Spot on Product Hunt

We launched FlyWP on Product Hunt to connect with a global audience of tech enthusiasts and professionals. The response was amazing, and FlyWP ranked as the #5 Product of the Day. Also, we got ranked as the #3 in the SaaS category.

This recognition motivated us to continue innovating and delivering the best possible experience for our users.

100+ Sumo-lings Loved FlyWP with 5-Taco Rating

In 2024, we set out to make FlyWP even better by inviting more users to test the platform and share their valuable feedback. To achieve this, we launched FlyWP on AppSumo, and the response exceeded our expectations!

With 118 reviews, we proudly received over 100 five-taco ratings. This incredible support not only validated our efforts but also inspired us to continue to build FlyWP the best server control panel for WordPress.

• Directly Provision Server with Digital Ocean: With FlyWP, you can choose your suitable plan and launch servers straight from FlyWP. We take care of everything, including billing so you don’t have to hustle around the platforms. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial to get this done.

• New Database Section: Our new database section lets you manage databases without any kind of mess. You can view details and securely retrieve sensitive credentials like root passwords, change database configuration, and troubleshoot more easily. For more guidance, follow the docs.

• OpenLiteSpeed Support: We introduced OpenLiteSpeed beside the NGINX stack this year. We know that OLS offers faster page loads, better performance, and enhanced security. Here’s the detailed changelog.

• Powerful File Manager: Features like file compression, extraction, and syntax-highlighted editing are now available on our Advanced File Manager on FlyWP.

• Individual Server/Site Management Page: We offer you a focused interface for managing specific servers or sites. It enables tasks like restarting services or accessing credentials everything from one place.

• ​​Custom SSL: Secure your website with custom SSL certificates for better security inside FlyWP. You can choose your suitable SSL provider with this module.

• Let’s Encrypt SSL: You can enable free, automated SSL certificates to safeguard your site with enhanced SSL Manager on FlyWP. Follow our SSL guide to get into action.

• Bulk Updates: Managing multiple WordPress site updates is a time-consuming and challenging task. We brought the Bulk Updates feature on FlyWP as the savior. Now, you can update plugins, themes, and WordPress core across all your sites with just one click. It’s super easy. Here’s the docs.

• Intelligent Backup & Restore: We launched an automated backup and restore feature. It lets you schedule backups and restore your site as your customized preference. A detailed guide is here for you.

• Support for ARM Processor:  Optimized support for ARM processors ensures enhanced performance and efficiency for modern server architectures.

• Custom S3 Backup Provider Support: We added support for custom S3-compatible backup providers like Wasabi, Backblaze, and Google Cloud. This gives users more flexibility in choosing where to store their backups.

• PHP Settings Enhancements: Use our advanced PHP settings to adjust parameters like max execution time, max input time, file upload limits, etc from the FlyWP dashboard. Check the detailed docs to learn how you can do this.

• FlyWP Helper API Plugin: We have added an extensive “Optimization” dashboard where you get a lot of micro modules to optimize your WordPress site and keep synced with FlyWP.

• Dynamic SWAP Size Adjustments: FlyWP lets you automatically adjust the server’s SWAP size based on available RAM, ensuring efficient resource usage and preventing memory issues.

• Hetzner Support: Adds Hetzner Cloud integration, allowing users to deploy and manage Hetzner servers through FlyWP for more cost-effective and scalable hosting options.

• SSH IP Whitelisting: Get an extra layer of security by allowing users to control which IP addresses can access their servers via SSH, preventing unauthorized access and reducing the risk of brute-force attacks. Check the docs for more.

• Updated phpMyAdmin Page: Includes better error handling, a smoother user interface, and support for loading states to prevent disruptions during database operations.

• Redis Credentials Access: Now you have full access to Redis credentials. So configure caching manually as you prefer.

• Cron Job Scheduling Enhancements: Provides an extensive way to automate repetitive server tasks like backups, updates, or database optimizations through a user-friendly scheduler. Follow our guide to know more.

• Affiliate Program: Our new Affiliate Program at FlyWP lets users earn recurring commissions by promoting our solution. Affiliates get access to marketing resources and can earn up to 20% on every sale they refer.

Content, Marketing, and Community Highlights of 2024

Our marketing team had an incredible year in 2024, creating valuable content to support our users. They published 53+ blog posts filled with tips, updates, and insights. To make FlyWP easier to use, they added 29+ new documentation guides. 

Our community members wanted us to conduct monthly summaries in webinar format. So we started to organize a Monthly Recap Webinar in October’24 and we will keep this running in the future days. Anyone can participate by registering here.

They also produced 23+ videos to help users get the most out of our platform. On top of that, our community grew significantly, reaching 611+ members who actively engage and share their experiences.

At FlyWP, customer satisfaction is paramount. This year, our support team achieved new milestones. Our support team worked tirelessly in 2024 to ensure every user had a great experience. They helped 1,754 customers and sent 5,171 replies, averaging 15 replies per day.

We have 96% customer satisfaction with 5-star rating at Trustpilot.

Out of these, 1,107 issues were resolved on the first reply, and 866 tickets were successfully closed on the first attempt. With an average response time of just 3 hours, our team was always ready to provide quick and reliable support whenever you needed it.

A Year of Fresh Design and New Perspective

Our design team had a busy and productive year in 2024. Our design team revamped the FlyWP experience with bold and eye-catching visuals. They worked on over 75 tasks to improve the product design to make FlyWP visually appealing. They also created 68+ blog banners to make our content stand out and designed 200 sales campaign visuals to support our marketing efforts.
