We’re Heading to WordCamp Sylhet 2026
There’s something special about meeting the WordPress community in person.
Online, we spend our days discussing products, solving technical problems, sharing tutorials, managing websites, and building businesses. But a WordCamp gives all of that a physical space, a room where developers can exchange ideas, freelancers can meet new people, agencies can discover new opportunities, and long-time community members can finally meet the people they’ve been talking to online.
That’s exactly what we’re looking forward to in Sylhet.
WordCamp Sylhet 2026 is expected to bring together around 500 members of the WordPress community, with the event designed around knowledge sharing, conversations, and meaningful connections.
As a WordPress infrastructure platform, FlyWP works closely with developers, freelancers, agencies, and businesses that manage WordPress websites every day. Being part of this event gives us the chance to step outside the dashboard and meet those people face to face.
And honestly, we’re excited about that.

What’s Happening at WordCamp Sylhet 2026?
WordCamp Sylhet 2026 is spread across two days, with each day offering a different way to participate in the WordPress community.
Contributor Day: October 2
The first day is Contributor Day, dedicated to giving back to WordPress.
It’s an opportunity to learn how different parts of the WordPress project work and contribute alongside other community members. That can include areas such as documentation, translation, testing, bug fixing, and other forms of contribution.
You don’t necessarily have to be a core developer to contribute.
That’s one of the best things about open source: there’s usually a way for people with different skills and backgrounds to get involved.
If you’ve ever wanted to contribute to WordPress but weren’t sure where to start, Contributor Day can be a great place to begin.
Conference Day: October 3
The second day is the main WordCamp conference, bringing the wider community together for talks, workshops, discussions, and networking.
The focus is on practical knowledge and conversations that attendees can take back to their own work.
Whether you’re managing a single WordPress site, building websites for clients, running an agency, developing products, or simply interested in the WordPress ecosystem, there should be plenty of opportunities to learn something new—and meet someone new.

A Little Bit of Sylhet
Of course, you can’t come all the way to Sylhet for WordCamp and only see the inside of the auditorium.
Sylhet has plenty to explore beyond the conference.
If you have some extra time, you can explore the city’s green spaces, tea gardens, historic landmarks, and nearby destinations. The WordCamp organizers have highlighted places around the city as well as longer trips to destinations such as Jaflong, Ratargul, and Bichanakandi.
And then there’s the food.
