New in FlyWP: Smarter Config Handling, Better Stability & Key Fixes

This release focuses on tightening the core of FlyWP, making WordPress configuration handling more reliable, improving stability for OpenLiteSpeed users, and polishing a few important workflows that power everyday server and site management.

Here’s what’s new 👇

⭐ Highlight of the Release

[Enhancements] Improved WordPress Config Handling:

We’ve updated how FlyWP handles WordPress configuration to better align with native WP constants.

  • Stronger validation during config updates
  • More predictable behavior across environments
  • Reduced risk of misconfiguration during setup and updates

This makes managing WordPress settings safer and more consistent, especially on production sites.

⚙️ Quality & Stability Improvements:

OpenLiteSpeed PHP Version Fix:

We’ve resolved issues where PHP version updates weren’t applying correctly on OpenLiteSpeed (OLS) sites.

  • PHP version changes now apply reliably
  • No more mismatches between selected and active PHP versions

If you’re running OLS, this update improves overall stability and confidence when switching PHP versions.

Enhanced Server & Site RBAC:

Role-based access control (RBAC) has been improved to strengthen security across servers and sites.

  • Clearer permission boundaries
  • Better control over who can access and manage resources

This is especially useful for teams managing multiple servers or collaborating across environments.

Backup Exclusions UI Improvement:

Backup exclusions now behave exactly as they appear in the UI.

  • Default exclusions are clearly visible
  • No more silent background exclusions without UI indication

What you see is what gets backed up, no surprises.

Bug Fixes:

Site Creation Route Handling:

We fixed an issue where route migration types were not handled correctly during site creation.

  • More reliable site provisioning
  • Fewer edge-case errors during setup
