FlyWP November 2025 Release: Public API, Vultr Provisioning, and Enhanced Server-Level Security

This month, FlyWP introduces the Public API, integrated Vultr provisioning, enhanced security with Bad Bot Blocking, automatic log rotation, site-level resource monitoring, and a wave of performance and stability improvements. Managing WordPress has never been smoother.

All New Features:

1. Public API:

Developers can now take full control of their infrastructure with the FlyWP Public API. Manage servers, sites, and SSH keys programmatically, perfect for automation, CI/CD workflows, and custom integrations tailored to your internal systems.

Introducing FlyWP Public API Supercharge your workflow and integrations Updated (1)

What you can do with the API:

  • Manage servers, sites, and SSH keys with ease
  • Build custom integrations for your apps and internal tools
  • Automate deployments, routine tasks, and large-scale operations

Your workflow just became faster, smarter, and fully automated. For a detailed guideline, please read the documentation.

2. Vultr Provisioning Support:

Easily create and manage Vultr servers from FlyWP without logging into Vultr. No API key required – everything can be done directly within FlyWP.

Provision vultr servers directly from flywp (1)
Why This Matters:
  • Faster Server Deployment: Skip the manual setup and spin up Vultr servers instantly from one dashboard.
  • No API Setup Hassle: You don’t need to generate or manage API keys, reducing complexity and security concerns.
  • Unified Workflow: Manage servers and sites from a single platform – no switching tabs or juggling multiple accounts.
  • Reduced Human Error: No copy-paste, no credentials, no misconfigurations. Just click and deploy.
  • Better Team Collaboration: Team members can provision servers without needing access to your Vultr account.

3. Bad Bot Blocker & Log Rotation:

We’ve added a powerful new layer of protection to keep your sites running smoothly. The Bad Bot Blocker automatically identifies and blocks malicious or unnecessary bot traffic at the server level.

By filtering harmful requests before they reach your applications, this feature significantly reduces server load, improves performance, and helps ensure your resources are used only by real users, not bad actors.

Log Rotation:

No more unexpected “disk full” surprises! FlyWP now handles log rotation automatically, organizing and cycling site logs without any manual effort. This keeps your disk space healthy and optimized, while still preserving the important historical log data you might need for debugging, tracking issues, or audits. It’s cleaner, safer, and far more reliable.

4. Site Resource Monitoring:

Keep track of CPU, RAM, and disk usage for every site, directly from your dashboard. Get clearer visibility and act before performance issues arise.

Why This Matters:
  • Instant Performance Insights: See exactly how each site is using server resources, no need for external tools.
  • Early Issue Detection: Spot unusual spikes in CPU, RAM, or storage before they turn into downtime or slow performance.
  • Better Optimization Decisions: Identify resource-heavy plugins, themes, or traffic surges with real data.
  • Improved Client Management: Quickly diagnose issues for client sites without logging into the server.
  • Smooth Scaling Planning: Know when it’s time to upgrade or optimize based on actual usage trends.

5. Cron Settings for Sites:

Configure and manage cron jobs at the site level with ease. No more manual setups or server-side tweaking, do it all from FlyWP.

Fixes & Improvements:

We’ve also enhanced FlyWP’s performance and reliability with key fixes:

  • NGINX Editor Error Handling: Improved error messages when editing NGINX configurations.
  • DNS Validation Domains: DNS validation now displays the specific domains requiring attention.
  • Vulnerability Scan Notifications: Unique issue counts and top issues are now included in scan notification emails.

Hotfixes:

  • Smarter Plugin Management: Deleting a plugin is now a one-click action! We’ve streamlined the process by removing the unnecessary deactivation step, saving you time and clicks.
  • Cleaner Security Reports: The Vulnerability Scanner is now more reliable than ever. We’ve fixed false positives and duplicate error notifications, so you receive only the most accurate and actionable security warnings.
  • Conflict Prevention: We resolved an issue that allowed duplicate domains across sites, which eliminates configuration conflicts and keeps your servers running smoothly.
  • Better Migrations: We’ve added a helpful confirmation dialogue to improve the user experience and ensure you can easily get migration support from our team.
  • Subscription Notice Routing: Improved redirect behavior for LTD users during payment-related actions.
  • Site Deletion Workflow: More resilient deletion flow with better retry logic.
  • Database Table Prefix Handling: More consistent application of user-provided table prefixes.
