With these features, FlyWP ensures your sites are always where you need them, ready for deployment or testing.

How to Clone or Transfer Your WordPress Websites Across Servers?

You can easily clone or migrate your WordPress websites within the same servers or a different one very easily with FlyWP. The process is the same as before.

Navigate to SiteSetting Menu. There you’ll get the Clone and Transfer feature. To get the step-by-step guidance, read our docs.

PHP 8.3 Support and Imagick Extension

We’ve re-enabled support for PHP 8.3 and the Imagick PHP extension. This would ensure enhanced plugin compatibility (all those image optimization plugins that depend on Imagick should work fine). This update ensures all your favorite plugins are compatible with FlyWP. We’ll also add support for PHP 8.4 and Ubuntu 24.04 soon.

Smoother, Seamless SSL Renewals

Previously, we received tickets where the SSL renewal didn’t happen properly. We’ve tried to investigate further and made many improvements under the hood to ensure that we handle SSL and its renewals properly. We’ve applied fixes to ensure Let’s Encrypt challenges pass successfully, without any user intervention.

  • Seamless Auto-Renewals: SSL certificates should be renewed without interruptions in a hassle-free way.
  • Failure Email Notifications: In the rare event of a failure, you’ll receive a detailed email explaining the issue and providing actionable steps to resolve it.

Redis Cache Optimization for OpenLiteSpeed Servers

FlyWP now automatically configures the correct cache settings for Redis via the Litespeed Cache plugin on OpenLiteSpeed servers. This enhancement means improved caching and faster website performance without manual configuration. The preferred method would always be “Redis” and the host and port would be properly filled up for all newer sites. We’ve also fixed this automatically for all existing sites as well.

Improved Docker and MySQL Bin Log Management

We received many support queries regarding file usage because of server logs. We are ending this by limiting the file sizes of Docker and MySQL BIn logs.

To ensure optimal server health, FlyWP will enforce fixed-size MySQL bin logs and Docker logs. This update prevents excessive log growth, avoiding potential server crashes and ensuring smooth, reliable site operations. Also, we’ve automatically applied the fixes to all existing sites as well

Minor Fixes and Enhancements

We’ve also addressed several small bugs and implemented general improvements to ensure FlyWP continues to deliver a top-notch user experience. This includes

  • SMTP File Deletion Issue: We fixed incorrect behavior where removing an SMTP provider replaced the msmtpre file with a folder.
  • Certificate Renewal Optimizations: We removed unnecessary commands that tried to reload NGINX to streamline the certificate renewal process.
  • Typography Improvement: The blogs, docs, and changelog pages should feel easier on the eyes, as we’ve implemented Tailwind Typography on our website.
  • Other minor fixes and enhancements: We’re always improving our system for stability. We pushed many minor under-the-hood changes that should make things more snappy and stable.

These updates reaffirm our commitment to empowering WordPress developers and site owners with the tools they need for efficient and stress-free server management. Explore these features today and take your WordPress projects to the next level.
