Affiliate Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 01 August, 2024

Welcome to the FlyWP Affiliate Program! By signing up as an affiliate, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read this agreement carefully before participating in our affiliate program.

How Does the Affiliate Program Work?

As an affiliate, you earn commissions by referring new customers to FlyWP. When someone clicks on your referral link or banner ad and makes a purchase, you earn a percentage of the sale. The more new people you refer who buy from us, the more you can earn.

Does FlyWP accept coupon site affiliation?

No, FlyWP does not accept coupon site affiliations. Coupon sites do not generate new traffic for FlyWP. For example, if someone visits FlyWP intending to purchase, they might search for a “FlyWP coupon code” and then return to our site through a coupon site’s referral link. This doesn’t represent a genuine recommendation of our product to new visitors. Therefore, we do not accept referrals from coupon sites.

How Quickly Can I Get Started?

You need to apply to Become an Affiliate. Then we will review your application and you will be notified to your email within 48 hours. If you get the approval, you can access the affiliate dashboard. There you will get a library of banners which are embedded with your unique tracking code. That’s how we’ll be able to track if a referral came from you or somebody else.

How Do I Promote FlyWP?

The most common way to promote FlyWP is by linking to our site using banner advertisements or text links. We provide a large collection of banners and examples to help you get started quickly and easily.

How Much Money Can I Make?

Once you’re approved into our affiliate program, you can start earning right away. Your earnings depend on how many people you refer who make purchases. For example, if someone clicks on a FlyWP banner ad on your site and purchases a plan for $190, you’ll earn a commission of $38 (20%). Commissions can be withdrawn once they are 30 days old.

How Will I Know If I Earned a Commission?

You can see the count of your total number of referrals and successful referrals from your affiliate dashboard. To start earning, simply place banners or text ads on your website with your unique affiliate ID embedded. It’s easy to join, and there’s no cost! Plus, you’ll have access to free analytics to track how many clicks and sales you’re generating.

How Do I Get Paid?

All affiliate payments are made via PayPal. If you don’t already have a PayPal account, you’ll need to sign up and complete their verification process, which usually takes a few days. Make sure your payment method and PayPal email address are correctly entered in your FlyWP affiliate account. Payments won’t be processed for accounts with incorrect information during the payment cycle.

When Are Payouts Made?

At the end of each month, we review and audit all affiliate sales due to an increase in affiliate fraud. If your commissions are deemed valid (see the I Made a Sale but Didn’t Get Paid” section below), payments for the prior month will be sent to your PayPal account by the end of the following month. For example, if you made three sales in September, you will receive payment by October 31st. Please note that the minimum payout amount is $100.

Can I Earn Commissions from My Own Purchases?

No, you cannot earn commissions from your purchases. If you buy products through your own affiliate link, you will not receive credit for those transactions. While you may receive an automatic notification that a sale has occurred, your affiliate payout will not include this amount. Attempting to use another email address or any other method to earn commissions on your own purchases will not work. We can easily identify such activities, and any questionable affiliate sales will not be paid.

Can I Earn Commissions from Product Upgrades?

Unfortunately, we do not offer commissions for product upgrades or license renewals.

How Long Does the Affiliate Referral Last?

When a visitor clicks through your affiliate link, a 30-day cookie is set in their browser. If they make a purchase within those 30 days (and do not clear their cookies), you’ll receive credit for the sale.

When someone clicks on your affiliate link, they are redirected to our website, and a cookie is set in their browser with your affiliate ID. As long as they don’t clear their cookies or click on another affiliate link before completing their purchase, the sale will be credited to you.

Sometimes, a person may click on your affiliate link and visit our website, but before completing their purchase, they might search for a coupon code on Google. If another affiliate link is clicked during this search, the original cookie remains unless it’s replaced by a new one. However, if the user has already visited our site from another affiliate link within the last 30 days, the first cookie remains, meaning the original referrer from 2 days ago will receive the commission, not the most recent referrer. Only the first referrer gets the commission in such cases.

Can I Use Paid Search to Promote FlyWP?

Yes, you can use paid search to promote FlyWP, but there are some important guidelines to follow. You may advertise on platforms like Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Facebook, but you are not allowed to bid on FlyWP brand-related keywords, such as “FlyWP,” “FlyWP Discount”, “FlyWP Coupons” or any variations of the FlyWP brand.

However, you are encouraged to use broader, recommended terms like “FlyWP Server Management Solution,” and “FlyWP WordPress Hosting Manager ” Any affiliate sales generated from advertising on FlyWP-branded keywords will be nullified, and commissions will not be paid out.

Can I set up a Dedicated Website to Promote FlyWP?

Yes, you can set up a dedicated website to promote FlyWP, but there are specific restrictions. You may not use domain names that include FlyWP brand-related keywords for generating affiliate click-throughs. Additionally, you must not mislead visitors with masked URLs or inaccurate coupon codes (e.g., “click here for 20% off”). Such practices violate our affiliate terms and may also be seen by Google as link schemes. Any affiliate sales made through these types of sites or misleading coupon codes will be voided and will not qualify for commission payments.

I Made a Sale but Didn’t Get Paid

If you made a sale but didn’t receive payment, it’s likely due to one of the following reasons:

  1. Voided Sale: The sale may have been voided during our audit process.
  2. Incomplete Affiliate Account: Your affiliate account may be missing essential details. We require your full name, email address, country, a completed tax form, and your “Payout Method” set on the “Payout Details” page.

If we detect a fraudulent affiliate sale, the commission will not be paid, and you risk losing your affiliate account. If your “Payout Method” wasn’t set and commissions have already been processed for that month, your payment will be rolled over to the following month.
While we strive for accuracy, mistakes can happen. If you believe your case is valid, please contact our support team with the transaction details. However, please note that unpaid transactions older than 60 days cannot be disputed.

Minimum Payout Amount

We process affiliate payments once a month. To receive a payout, your account must have a minimum credit of $100. If your balance is below this amount, the payment will roll over to the next month until the minimum threshold is met.

Why do I need to Submit a Tax Form?

As a U.S.-based company, we are legally required to collect either a W-9 form (for U.S. affiliates) or a W-8BEN form (for non-U.S. affiliates) before any affiliate commissions can be paid out. You do not need a tax form on file to start promoting our products, but it is mandatory before you can receive any payments.

The good news is that this process is quick and easy. You only need to submit the form once, and it takes less than 5 minutes to complete. The entire process is paperless, allowing you to digitally sign the form, saving you the hassle of printing, signing, scanning, and sending it back.

Here’s how it works: If you earn $500 or more in the current year, we will file a 1099-MISC form that includes your affiliate earnings. Without a tax form on file, we cannot process your affiliate commissions, although your sales will continue to accumulate. If you fail to submit a completed tax form by December 31 of the current year, you will forfeit all affiliate commissions earned during that year.

To submit your tax form, please log in to your affiliate account and click on “Payout Details” for further instructions.

I Made a Sale but Now It’s Showing Up as a Credit

If a sale you made is now showing up as a credit, it typically means that the transaction was reversed due to fraudulent activity. Our payment gateway automatically processes refunds in such cases, which also reverses the associated commission. Unfortunately, this results in a loss for both you and us. Alternatively, the reversal may occur if the sale does not adhere to our affiliate guidelines.

Can I Promote FlyWP in the Forums?

No, promoting FlyWP in forums is not allowed. We do not want our affiliates spamming forums or using profile signatures with affiliate links. Forum access is a privilege, and any violations can result in the termination of your affiliate account, including the withholding of any outstanding payments. Please ensure you follow our guidelines and avoid such practices.

Promotion Ideas

Affiliate programs offer a lot of creative freedom in how you promote products. While placing affiliate banners on your site is a common approach, it’s not always the most effective. Here’s some insider marketing advice to help you maximize your success:

  1. Use a Two-Pronged Approach: Combine affiliate banners with compelling blog posts. Write detailed reviews or articles about FlyWP. This strategy can significantly increase traffic to your site and boost the likelihood of affiliate sales.
  2. Leverage Product Reviews: People often search for product reviews before making a purchase. By writing an insightful and honest review about FlyWP, you tap into this buying intent. If your review resonates with readers, they’re more likely to click on your affiliate link and make a purchase.
  3. Be Genuine: Ensure your reviews are authentic and reflect your genuine experience with FlyWP. Explain why you love the product and how it can benefit others. Honest reviews build trust and can be more persuasive.

By implementing these strategies, you’ll enhance your chances of generating affiliate sales and driving more traffic to your site.

FlyWP reserves the right to decline payments, suspend accounts, and/or terminate any affiliate user account without prior notice. This may occur for one or more of the following reasons:

  1. Providing False Information: Submitting false or misleading information about FlyWP’s products, services, or discount codes.
  2. Misuse of Paid Search Campaigns: Running paid search engine marketing campaigns (e.g., Google Ads) using FlyWP brand-related keywords.
  3. Illicit Activities: Using link farms, spamming forums or websites, or engaging in any other illicit activities to drive traffic to your affiliate links.

Any affiliate who is terminated with pending payments for the current month will forfeit those payments. All decisions made by FlyWP regarding account suspensions or terminations are final and cannot be reversed.
